SafeArt and Grass Roots Art & Community Effort (G.R.A.C.E.) present:

Two events with Tracy Penfield, author of
A Curriculum of Courage: Making SafeArt

An artist and performer, Tracy Penfield founded SafeArt after
her own experiences healing from a destructive marriage
and helping others to heal through creative expression. A
Curriculum of Courage: Making SafeArt offers insight and
instruction on the variety of programming created and
implemented by the SafeArt staff to engage communities in
the prevention and healing from abuse and other traumas.

3-5pm: Practitioner Training
For anyone who wishes to engage creative expression in their professional life.

~ Learn to use the basic tools of SafeArt: Imagination, Intuition and Intention
~ Explore a variety of simple expressive forms to employ with individuals or groups
~ Share stories with peers and discuss how to problem solve using SafeArt methods
~ Refresh yourself with nourishing self-care “secrets” that are available to all of us

6-8pm: Healing Arts for Women Workshop
For women of all ages who wish to start the New Year by engaging their innate creative abilities.

~ Listen to stories from A Curriculum of Courage: Making SafeArt
~ Play with a variety of simple expressive forms that you may use at home
~ Make choices that raise your con4idence in decision-making abilities
~ Reorient your inner compass for the upcoming year

These free events are offered thanks to a generous grant from the Margo and Joe Osherenko Foundation.

Amazing GRACE celebrates the works of more than twenty-five current and past artists supported through the Grass Roots Art and Community Effort’s (GRACE) hundreds of annual workshops in nursing homes, adult day centers, mental health agencies and on-site at GRACE’s Old Firehouse facility in Hardwick, Vermont.
