Don Sunseri was my artistic mentor when I grew up in the San Francisco Boys’ Club where he ran the arts and crafts department. Together Don and I explored many art forms including his own kinetics. Don had his ex-wife, Elizabeth Murray, include one of my sculptures into her personal exhibition at the Venus Gallery in Berkeley. I only found Don’s whereabouts just about a year after he died. I will always regret never thanking him for his support and I am glad that he left this awesome legacy. Don was grace in human form and he will always be with me in spirit.
